It started as it always starts. Me with a camera, having to take my own picture! Sean will not get the camera out on Holidays. Ok fair point he is on a holiday, But come on a few pictures to show the grandkids wont kill him!

Chateau d'Angers is MASSIVE! Seriously impressive and had lovely gardens. Not a patch on our own King Johns Castle though!

The Castle wasn’t the only impressive architecture; every single street brought an OOOOO and a AAAH. It was like walking around medieval movie.... well almost I don’t think they had Zara or H&M back then!

After that we headed to our destination of Saumur. A sleepy little town. A place where we spent our days just rambling and exploring. Eating lunches in little farm houses. Picnicking in the parks. Our kind of place. Narrow little streets filled with adorable creperies, sweet shops, restaurants’, antique shops....And the market on Saturday was bliss.  Thank god Ryanair haven’t started weighing people, we ate all around us!  This is the reason we have no pictures of the Market. Our rumbley tumbleys came first every single time

When we popped into the Caves of Louise de Grenelle for our bottle of sparkling... (as one does when in Saumur,) the car park was filled with vintage cars, it was like stepping back in time. So in Awe were we that we almost forgot to head into to get the yummy bottle of bubbles!!

You may wonder what Olivia and Conor are up to. The answer is simple, practising their poses for the up coming wedding!

This is Chateau of Saumur. It is pretty from the outside. Alas, there is not much to see on the inside as they have/are renovating it........ for the past 24years! There is however a little coffee shop in front of it. If you buy anything in there, the owner will let you stroll around the outside of the Castle for free. So do that and save your Euros! Lesson learnt!

 We all had a proper giggle at this, but mostly was how we felt on the way home!

I cannot believe that we are off to Roma on Friday.

While planning what to pack, it suddenly occurred to me that I never actually shared our trip to Saumur France with you. For those of you that follow us on Facebook or Instagram, I know we bombarded you with photos. Like so many photos your well wished for our trip turned to OH MY GAWD Enough Already. But sure tune back in tomorrow anyway and relive the memories!

Susie and Robin got married in Dingle the day before St Patrick’s Day; thankfully they didn’t run with what frankly could have been a "whackytackeygreen" wedding theme. Their day as you will see, was simply lovely. Susie has great style, the attention to detail through out their wedding is as graceful as she is...and sure Robin didn’t do a bad job either...

This couple it has to be said are well travelled. Having met in Dublin, they got engaged in Copenhagen, and of all the places on the planet they could have chosen to tie the knot; they chose the Kingdom of Kerry.  Delightfully (yes I am smiling with glee as I type this) for us they held their reception in the enchanting  Ballintaggart House .


I love asking couples if there is anything unique to/about them.... I know, I am fierce nosey! Anyway, Susie and Robin answered, "How much they laugh" and its true, they do…. allot!

They also said that they weren’t too good in front of the camera… but I don’t know… we think they did pretty great!

Hello Everyone,

How are we on this blustery Thursday afternoon?

I decided that something light hearted was in order today.

When editing our wedding pictures there is always a *gasp* or *Ooooh Noooo* let out from either myself or Sean. Its nothing to do with our lovely couples.  More so to do with us having been caught by our own camera. This leads to much muttering of:

* I thought i told you to delete those*..........*No I thought you were gonna...* *EeeeeeW...Seriously thats what i look like* *jeeze* and some times its all too much and we reach for the nearest Mars bar and a good old cuppa!

This is how we would like you to think we look ALL the time. Take our picture, we are totally cool with it.....sure, dont we do it all the time!

Which show that just like every other normal person on the planet..... we sometimes do not come out the better of it .... we have bad photos just like you guys.... Yet, we also have FUN, and sometimes we look a tad confused

You may have seen from Facebook that we (okay I, MrsSCP)  have a total couple crush on Sinead & Darren.

We had such a giggle last Friday evening in the beautiful grounds of Curraghcase. Even though it was super freezing cold, we all had aches in our faces from laughing & big cheeeesy smiles. Although..... it could have been down to litre of hot chocolate {& marshmallows, naturally!} that we guzzled.

That is this couple all out. Their happiness and love for one another is infectious. You cant help but get wrapped up in it and smile brightly.

Sinead and Darrens love story begins Waaaay back in school.

... You know how it is... stolen glances {from the sidelines of a hockey pitch}... then one day they start chatting in the corridoor... keep chatting and delightfully fell hoplessly in love.  They packed their bags and travelled to some really cool destinations around the world. While in Whistler Skiing Darren popped that all important question... Sinead said yes.

Sinead and Darren are real life childhood sweethearts. Everytime I read their Getting to Know You form I have to remind myself that their story is real and not a romantic movie that I have watched.

You may notice that the 66’ VW bus features some what in the shoot. Its Darrens other pride and joy which he has spent the last few months restoring in time for the wedding in a few weeks. I know that the “love bus” will bring them on many more happy advertures together.

Anyone going to the wedding I think it may be wise to bring lots of tissues/hankies. Like all great movie weddings I have a feeling its going to be filled with big fat happy tears...and you know what im like.... im going to need all the tissues humanly possible!

Hello!!!

I know we have been VERY quiet of late, and for that we apologise.

Things have been pleasently hetic here at SCP head quarters.

We have met with so many wonderful couples since Christmas from both home and abroad. There have been lots of giggles and biscuits. Lots of skype calls, travelling around the country and making lots of new friends!

I have been furthering my editing Skills with the wonderful Michelle Kenna (www.michellekenna.com) Which means weekend trips to Dublin. Whoopie!!!!! Although I was late for my first class with Michelle as the lure of the Disney Shop was just Waaaay to much..... Of course i didnt leave empty handed.... Mike Wazowski now has pride of place on our dresser!

This month has is proving to be full of excitement too for Sean, who has both the Press Photographers Association of Ireland Awards, and the Wedding Online awards on over the same weekend. Nail biting stuff! I shall keep you posted on how he gets on. Though if he wins, you will hear me squealing with delight all the way from Dublin.

So by the end of this month i (achem we) shall be on top of everything and shall be posting with allot more gumption and regualrity. If not you are free to nag and give out to us.

Any who, you dont want to read my ramblings.. Where are the photos I can hear you ask.

I'm still stuck to 2011 like it’s my shadow!

Yes I know, its only the 3rd of January, however last year was just so amazing, a part of us will be sad to see it go.

It’s a year that finally saw myself and Seans dream of SeanCurtinPhoto taking off the ground. Now any one that knows me, always said I was posh (seriously no idea where it comes from!) No better way then, to kick start our year with a manor wedding... Adare Manor to be exact... Oh it was very suave indeed! Admittedly I was a little reluctant to leave.

From Suave we entered the wonderful world of the Garden Party. It was Alice in Wonderland meets Electric Picnic and we Loved every minute of it. Everyone, and I do mean everyone should have a garden party at some point of their lives. Note: Giant Mushrooms, Pigs on Spits, Cocktail wear & Penguin suits are compulsory...

Now if I could just find a garden big enough! All offers by email please!

This year, life decided to throw us friends (and lots of them), firstly in the form of these two

YAAAwhos above. Karen a very talented Artist and Crafter from Dingle made the headpiece for my wedding. Sure, never in a billion years did I think I'd see that Madame again. (JOKING Karen...achem) Yet we did, and she wasn’t alone she was accessorised by the wonderful Cian.

They allowed us to do an engagement shoot, which randomly turned into one of those long lazy summer weekends. It was such fun; even the attack of the blood-sucking Horseflies couldn’t stop people laughing at me. I had an incident with a hand full of glitter and the Kerry wind blowing in the wrong direction! I looked like a walking Christmas Bauble...in JULY. My impression seemed to please as Sean went back to Dingle to shoot their wedding. Not even the tail end of Hurricane Katia could stop the Sean or these two from having fun.

By the summer we were madly excited, chatting with Brides and Grooms and Wedding bloggers and making friends all over the shop... speaking of shop. We even met the wonderful http://www.whitetea.ie/ in IKEA! Loads of chats and sweet sweet heavenly desserts..... And maybe an ickle tiny amount of shopping was done. 

Friends’ http://onefabday.com/ and http://www.brideandjoy.ie/ featured some of our other engagement shoots.

Yes I will admit I squealed and Sean smiled when this is happened. I honestly felt famous, and of course super immensely proud that people out there liked what we were doing.

With the summer over and the Hurricane blown its last Hoolie, the weddings continued. I will at this

point admit. I FREAKIN LOVE weddings!

From the time we leave the bride to make her way to the church, my heart starts to pound. You would swear from listening to it, that it was myself walking up that isle.... again! By the time the bride has walked up the aisle and the vows start I'm desperatly rooting in my bag for a hankie! For any couple that we have met, you know how much of a hopeless romantic I am, and also that Sean is shaking his head now, telling me to stop chatting and move on! Ever the professional that he is!

In short I just want to say that we take your weddings very seriously, and are honored to be part of them.

Still one of our favorite pictures. Remember being beyond gutted that day. Clever Ol' Mr. Owner of the field had removed the bales of hay from the field. Another of life’s "I know best"

As part of our emergency box for the Brides and Grooms, there is usually a granola bar floating around. In Laura and Fergals wedding above, that Granola Bar was made by Jordans. Jordan was to be Lauras wedded name.

As you can see below, it became a bit of a theme, and guests and couples alike looked for foods bearing their name. Quirky as anything and we loved it.

Sean loves a bit of Drama in his work. Our couples have provided us with some breath taking venues and landscapes and for that we do a little dance and say with glee Thank You!

With weather warnings and horror stories of sub zero temperatures for winter, I decided to take action. If I were a bride and was turning blue and goose bumpy would I be happy. I certainly think not!

So the keep warm kit was born.

It just so happened that two of the hand warmers turned out to be great wedding props.... Who knew!  When we arrive at your wedding, with the boot of the van packed to capacity. Fear not, No we are not moving in, its simply SCPs box of magic tricks!

So many wonderful magical moments happened this year. Most of them in beautiful churches and venues around the country. What started with a simple kiss for so many couples was sealed with a magic kiss, and the start of a new chapter was born. For allowing us to be part of that we will be forever grateful.

Yes 2011 you were awesome, so very full of giggles, laughter, memories that will last forever, marshmallow fights, adorable Dogs called Dougie, goose bumps, new friends, new contacts (same as friends really) and happy tears.

I have the feeling that if 2012 is half as chockablock full of this.........

 as it was in 2011, then I am happy. Oh Sean says he is too!

Bóthar marks 20 years of work in Uganda with a photography exhibition at The Gallery of Photography, Dublin. Award winning photographer Seán Curtin captures celebrity chef Neven Maguire’s trip to Uganda to meet with families whose lives have been transformed thanks to the generosity of the people of Ireland.

If your in the area pop in and take a look, its running until the 20th of November at the Gallery of Photography, Meeting House Square, Templebar, Dublin and admission is free. I would like to sincerely thank my wife Kate for her continuous support, Bóthar for giving me the opportunity to capture the very necessary work they do.  Dee and the great team at Spark Marketing.  Neven, a true gentleman.  The Gallery of Photography for all their help with organising the exhibition. Evening Folks,

Its a bit later than we hoped to get it up, but here is the Sneaky Peek of Laura and Fergals Wedding last weekend.  The two tied the knot in the stunning Bansha Church and then danced the night away in Kilshane House Co Tipperary.  How Laura and Ferg got up early to watch the Ireland Vs Austrailia rugby game first thing the next morning is still beyond me!

You have to love Laura mixing her Jenny Packham dress with Wellies when strolling through the fields of Tipperary..... Always an Electric Picnic lass at heart!

The couple wed in St Marys Church and continued the party in the (what is fast becoming the best venue ever!) Ballintaggart House.

Not even the tail end of Hurricane Katia could stop this couple from having a seriously amazing day!

Happy Friday,

Hope you all have something lovely planned for the weekend.

Yesterday we shared with you the first half of Olivia and Conor's Engagement shoot in West Clare. Which saw a "That" Rugby tackle and a stroll up to the local Wine bar.

The second part is some what more Dramatic and Romantic, you can see for yourselves why we kept the evening session separate, its a bit special.

As well as a love of Rugby and the Coast, these two have other great loves in their lives. Conor plays a wide range of musical instruments (no surprise he is part of the band Campaign!) and to say Olivia is a bit of a fashion guru is a total understatement! Olivia keeps all us girls up to-date with her weekly Fashion & beauty column in the local newspaper. These are just to name of few of the talents/hobbies of this busy couple.

Good Afternoon everyone, hope you are all having a splendid week so far!

For the first time, we are sharing this weeks engagement shoot in two parts.

Olivia and Conor’s shoot was shot on some truly wonderful locataions in West Clare, a location that is close to our couples hearts.

Firstly kicking off in Lahinch, both Conor and Olivia have a passion for Rugby and it was great to follow them on the beach as they played in their club colours. Sean was only thrilled when it became time to put the camera down and join in!

After the fun on the beach, it was off to Liscannor for a some refreshments.  We settled upon Egans,( a little wine bar) which turned out to be very apt as Olivia and Conor plan to marry in France next year!

Tomorrow will see our couple finish up in Spanish Point which where Olivia was serenaded by Conor and his amazing Double Bass.

Todays Engagement shoot is of Laura and Fergal and the adorable Dougie. We all went for a wonderful afternoon stroll through the Clare Glens, Co.Tipperary. Which kicked off with a picnic featuring a number of items from Electric Picnic, where the couple first met. Of course not leaving the couples cheeky Dougie out of the fun there was time for a game of doggie Xs and Os.. Luckily we all made it back to the cars in time before the heavens opened.  Thanks to Laura and Ferg for a beautiful shoot, though I think we can all see whole stole the show...... Dougie!

We were thrilled to shoot Karen + Cians very muscial Engagemnet session this week in Dingle.

Both Karen and Cian have said that they are fascinated by each others talents  "give Cian piano and I'll listen to him sing for hours and he loves watching me paint!".

Together they both LOVE their musicals, infact Karen locked eyes with Cian many summers ago when they both worked in Trabolgan, we believe Cian was singing at the time!

We shot some of the session in Ballintaggart House where the two are getting married in September.  Its only a few weeks away now, but we cant not wait to get back to Dingle and hang out with this seriously funny couple!
